Windows XP allows the user to burn CDs without any third-party application such as data and music. This doesn't mean that the user can burn anything they want under XP. Unfortunately, XP doesn't allow the burning of saved .ISO disk images. An ISO file (extension .iso) is essentially a "snapshot" of a CD stored as a file. Third-party applications allow the user to burn CDs from .ISO files that can be transferred over the internet.

Listed below are third-party applications that work with XP, or are expected to release updates soon.

Roxio EZ-CD Creator 5
In order to use the latest version of EZ-CD Creator (5.02), you cannot install DirectCD and Take Two. Roxio stated that an XP compatable version will be out soon.

Nero
So far as I know, there are no known issues with the latest version of Nero.
