our Troop and Special Needs program.
Scouting is a value-based program with a unique code of conduct. The Scout Oath and Scout Law encourage good conduct and honesty. Scouting teaches skills that last a lifetime such as: outdoors living, first aid, citizenship, leadership, self-reliance and social skills. Scouting offers boys an environment in which everyone can feel secure both physically and emotionally.
Scouting provides the opportunity for new experiences, friendships, learning and recognition. Scouts are encouraged to make their own decisions and become more independent. Parents will have the opportunity to experience scouting along with their Scout. Each meeting and outdoors activity requires at least one parent in attendance. This encourages each Scout to reach his maximum potential.
Troop 58 is located in Carrollton, Texas. The troop is in the Boy Scouts of America North District of Texas.
Troop 58 is a small troop and well known as “The Rainmakers”. Being a small troop has enabled its registered and trained Adult Leadership to provide more time and attention to Merit Badge work and Rank Advancement. Our trained and experienced Scouts are prepared to assist new Scouts in learning basic scouting skills. The Scouts have been hard at work to adapt their program to provide the Special Needs Scout with a memorable experience in scouting. The troop is very active in the North District, participates in monthly campouts and is proud to announce that we have 100% Parent Participation!
