Coach Signed For the 2003 Season. Feb.

FL -- University of Central Florida athletic director Steve Orsini today
announced that Kin Cole has been named the 7th head coach of the Golden Knights
football program. "After
much thought, we have decided to take the Universtiy of Central Florida football
program in a new direction by naming a new head football coach. In our quest for
a new leader, we searched for someone who is youthful, intelligent, and energetic.
Someone who has proven their leadership abilities and their commitment to academic
and athletic excellence. Someone who can lead UCF to the next level in Division
I-A football," said Orsini. "Kin Cole has shown all of these qualities, in addition
to being an alum who can keep the UCF football family together and lead our program
to continued success." "This
is a dream come true for me to be named the head football coach at the University
of Central Florida," said Cole. "I'm excited about the opportunity we have to
lead our program to new heights. It's a great honor and responsibility to lead
this program. I look forward to the challenge up living up to my predecessors
here. I hope to keep our excellent coaching staff together here, and to retain
coach Mike Kruczek's services as assistant head coach. Watch out MAC." Though
Kin Cole has never held a head coaching job at any level, he has proven to the
University that he is an excellent strategist both offensively and defensively
and that he has the leadership skills necessary to lead this program. |
