hull plating. The primary defensive system aboard Enterprise. The ship's hull plating can be polarized to absorb and redirect energy. ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).
humans. An intelligent species native to Earth. Humans have only recently entered the interstellar community with the advent of a warp 5 engine. Many humans feel that the Vulcans have been holding back progress, while the Vulcans maintain that it is for humanity's own good. Humans are, they claim, not prepared to interact with other cultures. ("Broken Bow" [ENT]).
"humanoid figure." A mysterious participant in a temporal cold war, originating from the future. The humanoid figure commands Silik and the Suliban Cabal to act as soldiers on this front of his war. ("Broken Bow" [ENT]). The humanoid figure is played by James Horan. Some have speculated that the figure is a Romulan, based on alleged mannerisms. I don't share that view, but it is worth noting.
