Welcome home Joe
I am happy to announce that Joe Leonard is back home and attending Lion Club meeting again. Please make sure to say welcome back...
Newark Days Parade
The Newark Days event is right around the corner. Dawn Breakers is only participating in the parade this year (Sept 21st). Nonetheless, I would love some help with the parade float. Anyone interested please contact Lion Mike Hale.
Dawn Breakers Lions Share Event
The Dawn Breakers Lions Club is trying a new fundraiser this year. It is called "Lions Share" and it is a reverse raffle at an evening party based on the St. Joseph's Festival of Fortune event. It will be held on Nov 16th, 2002 at the St. Joseph church hall. We estimate the net revenue to be about $4,000. The way it works is we sell 300 tickets at $25 each. A ticket gets two people into the door at the party and a chance to win the grand prize of $2,000. In addition to the grand prize, participants can also win other small cash and door prizes. You need not be present to win the cash prizes. The party will consist of music, hors devours, and a no host bar. What we need is help selling the tickets. Please do what you can to make this event successful.
4-C3 Convention
The Dawn Breakers Lions out did themselves again at the food event of the Lions District 4-C3 convention. The pork kabobs were a raving success. Thanks to Lion Dimitri, Lion Jim Hermerding and all the other Lions who helped out.
