Christmas Party thanks...
The Lions Progressive Christmas Party was a wonderful event thanks to the efforts of the Lions who gave up their time and homes to make the evening special. Our thanks go out to Lions Dan and Madeline Gonsalves, Lion John Juarez and wife Janet, Lion Ben Moraine and wife Barbara and Lion Ed Shannon and wife Gerry. Their homes were filled with wonderful decorations that set the spirit of Christmas for all the Lions in attendance. This year there were 40 persons who took part in the festivities . A record crowd. Thanks again to all .

Missing list..

Flag Day
Flag Day will be on February 16th. Need volunteers to go to the schools to talk to the 4th graders. We are going to three schools this year with ideally three Lions member per school. If you are interested, please contact Lion Bob Ammon.

Lions for sight...
The Dawn Breakers Lions club is proud to support two Eye programs:
1) Lions Eye Foundation of CA/NEV, Inc.: Member clubs refer clients from their community to the foundation for exams, treatment, surgery and hospitalization when these services are not otherwise available.
2) Lions Sight Savers Foundation: Eye exams, glasses and other "Non-surgical" vision care for people who are otherwise unable to receive such needed services.
The Dawn Breakers Lions Club is the proud member of both of these organizations.

8th Annual Bowl-a-thon
The Dawn Breakers Annual Bowl a thon is scheduled for March 10th. This is an opportunity for us to raise some funds and have fun at the same time. The event will be at Mowry Lanes at 1:00 p.m. Many prizes will be awarded
Each member is asked to get friends to sponsor them for one cent or more per pin. Since most of us are not professional bowlers (far from it), a one cent donation will total no more than five dollars.
Each bowler will bowl three games. Your cost for bowling will be $6.50. Your total score will be used to determine the donation.
You do not have to be a bowler to participate. We can even use the gutter bumpers if you bring kids to bowl. Each year some Lions bring their children. It gives them an excuse to use the bumpers. Bring a group of friends and have them fill in their own sponsor sheet.
If you really can not bowl at all, please fill in the sponsor sheets anyway. We will turn your sponsor list over to one of the bowlers. We will have more sign up sheets at the meeting this Thursday.
Please help us by bowling, getting sponsors, and by donating any prizes you can find for the event.
Remember, this is for fun. We definitely do not get serious about our scores.
