On Nov. 2nd. we will be having Mr. Ronnie King from C.U.R.A. and on the 16th. we will be having Mr. Don Stanaway from the Lions Eye Foundation.

Membership Contest
OCTOBER 1 – DECEMBER 31, 2000
We are moving into the second month of our Membership Contest. With one third of the contest complete, we have seen several of our non-active members at the past two meetings but we are still looking for new prospective members.

How about that neighbor, friend, relative,co-worker,customer,fellow church or other club member, doctor, lawyer, Indian chief, etc. etc. etc. Now is the time to mull over this list of suggested potential prospective members (the Indian chief might be a hard match) but I bet you'll do a good job on the rest of them and these are just a few.They really are just waiting for that invitation to breakfast (not just a meeting!). Let them see all the fun we have and all the good deeds we do in our community as well as in the world. Remind them that we don't just ask anyone; we ask special people like them - make them feel special and wanted - it works !!!

Be sure to let Lion Secretary Ernie know you are responsible for the attendance of one of our non-active members, so you'll get credit in our contest. More than one member can get credit for that attending member, but only take credit if you made the effort to let he or she know how much they have been missed ! Lion Ernie just needs a note saying you're responsible for that members attendance (let him know if you were involved with any of the members that showed up at one of the October meetings).
